"According to my friend, Dr. Laura said the word Ni****."
Has the N-word become a formal title...I see they are capitalizing it now...in two different places.

What she said was correct, and then she made a sniveling, stumbling, foolish target of herself by showing how weak she is. I can’t imagine how she survives this at this point, but perhaps the race piranah will accept her apology, possibly in a manner similar to the way Shirley Sherrod’s was accepted...
What I would ask her is if you don’t mean something, then why say it in the first place?

Vocabulary unused is soon lost. Page 670 of my 1942 Webster’s collegiate dictionary contains the said forbidden ‘N’ word. It was in really unused condition, the word not the dictionary, until an event took place in 2008 and subsequent events have only served to prove the point. Remaining comments self censored.

This is a very dangerous road - changing the meaning and outlawing the use of words.
Words have both official and unofficial meanings. If the unofficial, contextual, meaning carries unacceptable meanings then the society needs to correct that by action not censorship.
We attempt to censor our children's use of certain words. How successful is that? Look at the current hits in the Rap Music world for that answer. Requiring the child to describe the sexual act in detail (the words meaning) frequently embarrasses them enough never to use it in your presence as a swear world (contextual meaning).
If you want to see where is act ends look no farther then Germany 1933-1945.

2 bucks for an “n”. Then I would like to sell a clue. Heck. I’d even give it away for free.

This post is right on the money. One of these days white people are going to get up off of their knees.

The better question is does self censorship do more destruction to the soul than resisting political correctness?
Think about it Frank.

The author forgot another no-no word that enrages blacks. It is Spade. We had a black lab in the 60’s that we got as a grown dog and his name was Spade. I was stopped at a gas station, Spade was in the car about to jump out of the window. I screamed SPADE to get his attention. I also got the attention of 2 black girls who were there. The looks on their faces and the fact that they were moving towards me made me afraid they they were coming to beat me up. I quickly said “bad dog Spade, bad dog”. They seemed satisfied that I was talking to the dog and not them and I didn't get my ass kicked.
I don't understand how black people can object to the N word when they use it themselves when talking about other black people. I know for a fact that they do.
In the 60’s calling them “black people” was an insult, they wanted to be called Negro. Now that is an insult. Some politician insulted them by calling them “you people”.
I give up! I am not going to call them anything and they can call me honkey, I don't care.

I don't understand how black people can object to the N word when they use it themselves when talking about other black people. Because they become a protected class of people who can then do and say things others can't.
They become above the law and thus become a minority ruling class.

South Park did an episode where Randy Marsh said the forbidden word on “wheel of Fortune” and was a pariah afterwards, even though he “apologized” to Jesse Jackson by literally kissing his butt. This incident reminds me of that. Many incidents remind me of that.
To: Retired COB
Why, who authorized YOU to say the F-word? I didn’t know big brother allowed that. (LOL)
