POLITICO is seeking a reporter to join our White House team. Candidates should be able to handle a fast-moving, high-visibility reporting assignment covering the Obama administration and be capable of delivering breaking news, daily coverage and enterprise stories with speed, accuracy and precision.
Qualifications:
Experience in Washington journalism at the professional level preferred, with White House experience a plus; established ability to write clearly and accurately on deadline; proven ability to break news and handle a demanding reporting job.
To apply:
Please send a brief cover letter, résumé, four clips and contact information for three references to employment@politico.com, subject line: White House reporter.
No phone calls, please.
It is POLITICO's policy to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender or other basis prohibited by applicable federal, state or local law.
Kneepads supplied no doubt.
Helen Thomas would be perfect...
“Perhaps we can slip in a conservative...”
Fat chance. My guess is that the qualification “must lean far to the left” is implicit and that those who fail to meet it get weeded out at the interview stage if it cannot be inferred from their resume.
Paging, Brices Crossroads; Virginia Ridgerunner; Bray;
“Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country...... infiltrate politico.”
LOL.
Undoubtedly an unspoken qualification is that applicants must have been members of the now defunct JournoList.
DAn Rather is a “shoe” in....
Yeah, like Politico would ever publish out stuff.
Pray for America
They’d better be careful, Helen Thomas will either “come out” of retirement or send a surrogate she can ghost write for! LOL
