The Socialist Party of America announced in their October 2009 newsletter that 70 Congressional democrats currently belong to their caucus. This admission was recently posted on Scribd.com:

Remember in November!
Totally serious question here.
I see a lot of these are Black Dems...what is it about Socialism that blacks are so attracted to?
“I see a lot of these are Black Dems...what is it about Socialism that blacks are so attracted to?”
They get to sit at the adult table. Remember Socialism is nothing more than a criminal enterprise masked in ideology.
FRiend, I don't have all the answers, but the last 40 years of socialism/welfare programs being pushed on our black American bretheren has a lot to do with it.
We have a 3rd generation of welfare families, who rely solely on guvmint for their living, sad, but true.
This is not to say that white folks don't benefit from welfare, but disproportionately it's black folks.
Ping to another, and I hope more.

Contribute almost nothing, take as much as you can from Whitey. Next question.

The sad thing is they continue to get re-elected by their socialist loving constituents!
I've been writing about this for 30 years - ever since I, as an investigative reporter for a statewide paper, infiltrated a “NO PRESS’ meeting of our state's DSA meeting - they went on in very state, called DSOC meetings (Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee meetings.)
The main speaker was, at the time, our states Senate Majority leader - a democrat. He came to the podium, pulled a card out of his pocket and opened with: “I, like you, am a card carrying socialist.”
He went on to lament that since they were unsuccessful in even getting their knight in shinning armor - Ted Kennedy - elected as their presidential candidate and then, on top of that, Ronald Reagan ran away with the election - that they now would have to pull back and regroup.
Their new strategy? “Infiltrate and take over the democrat party.”
that was, as I say, 30 years ago. Any doubt as to their success?
The people slept. Most still do. I almost can't even care anymore. Almost.
lol how do we get this front page
I know you must be frustrated, but you know people are waking up!
Look at the success of the Tea Party, America does not want socialism!
Re-energize yourself and your pen and let's keep exposing these dims for what they have become!
You know as well as I do that the average American has a vey short attention span.
Let's keep plugging, day to day, about the dims extreme agenda, and we may be able to breathe easy for awhile after the November elections!
I'm not saying a republican sweep in Novemeber is great, but it's a start.
Let's keep at 'em!
I think the number used to be 150 under clinton. we should probably add a few republicans to the list.
. . . . . Back to the thread.
