Nile Gardiner - The stunning decline of Barack Obama:
The Telegraph ^ | 08/12/2010 | Nile Gardiner

The last few weeks have been a nightmare for President Obama, in a summer of discontent in the United States which has deeply unsettled the ruling liberal elites, so much so that even the Left has begun to turn against the White House. While the anti-establishment Tea Party movement has gained significant ground and is now a rising and powerful political force to be reckoned with, many of the president’s own supporters as well as independents are rapidly losing faith in Barack Obama, with open warfare breaking out between the White House and the left-wing of the Democratic Party. While conservatism in America grows stronger by the day, the forces of liberalism are growing increasingly weaker and divided.

This article offers some good insight and analysis of the current political situation. The articles strips away the usual MSM white wash of President Obama's foreign policy disaster, and refreshingly describes his speeches as most of us see them. Well worth a read.

I also think part of what is making BO so edgy right now is that he, personally, is in sync with the extreme left-wing of the Democratic Party, but it is politically impossible for him to always act on his own inclinations. Then he gets criticized by those who do not realize what the political reality is.

"...with open warfare breaking out between the White House and the left-wing of the Democratic Party." Does the Democratic Party have another wing I'm not aware of?

Edgy, I don’t think so.

Obama doesn’t care. He will party on and let the chips fall were they may. To prove my point, his ratings have hit rock bottom and yet he parties on. His own party is starting to distance themselves from him, yet he parties on. He is getting the worst press ever, yet he parties on.

He was told by Soros ... party and we will take care of the rest. Obama doesn’t care he just parties on.

He is an extremely concise, focused and logical writer - devoid of the emotional hysterics and florid phrasing common among American conservative bloggers.

The President put another nail in his political coffin tonight, by commenting on the proposed "Ground Zero mosque" and casting it as an issue of religious liberty. It was interesting to see how much passion there was in his voice as he descanted on the rights of Islam.

He was much more energized about this issue than anything else I've seen him speak about since he was elected. The local ultraliberal network news broadcasts are actually criticizing his decision to get involved in a "local matter." They realize how tin-eared this is nationally.

“Nile Gardiner’s good”

It is interesting that most all of REAL news and commentary now has to came from the foreign press.

With the exception of FOX News and a small number of newspapers, the American Media would make the OLD Pravda
and Radio Moscow very proud.

The biggest foreign policy failure of BHOI occurs in less than 10 days. That is the date that Iran starts it nuclear enrichment reactor.

Iran achieved this milestone with Russian help. I guess the Russians will claim victory if we are struck with a WMD before they are.

If you think BHOI’s numbers are low now wait a few more days - they can and will go lower. But this “achievement” will happen because more people will strongly disapprove. He basically down to the hard core progressive/liberal/socialist/democrat core and racially motivated voters. There aren't NOT enough of trhem to win an election.

Yes indeed well worth reading. I might rate the issues a little differently as an American, but the author has a stunningly clear insight from across the pond.

Those of us who were ideologically opposed to him knew what we were getting. What shocked most of the non-ideologues around here was the wrong moves at-every-step handing of the economy. Everything possible to kill the recovery and business incentive to recover has been forced (or deemed) down our throats.

1. Shoving the “porkulus” monstrosity through.

2. Forcing healthcare with its indvidual, small business and corporate implicatations through.

3. Cutting the bondholders out in the auto bailout. How much more could you alienate cautious investment money?

4. Threatening cap and trade carbon taxes to existing large segments of the economy, particularly the coal/power industry.

5. Thwarting oil exploration on and offshore.

6. Extending unemployment benefits ad infinitum so people won’t find ways to save or make money.

7. Attacking a state that is trying to deal with the illegal immigrant effect on the US job market.

I’m sure I’ve left alot out but this strikes me a the plan of one who does not want us to recover.

Odd how we have to read BRITISH, RUSSIAN, TAIWANESE, and JAPANESE news sources to get the truth.

His supporters are the constant rebellion. It grows with the idiot kids and dies with the life learned adults. He won with a stupid promise to both as he speaks well. The well-heeled knew his rhetoric as what it was, the less heeled said WTH. Here we are. It’s time for the less heeled to get a bit more educated on America’s greatness, and understand why they can get a part of our foundation.

The Obama administration’s high risk strategy of appeasing America’s enemies while kicking traditional US allies has only succeeded in weakening the United States while strengthening her adversaries.

and there it is...

The most left-wing president in modern American history has tried to force a highly interventionist, government-driven agenda that runs counter to the principles of free enterprise, individual freedom, and limited government that have made the United States the greatest power in the world, and the freest nation on earth.

It amazes me that the clearest thinking lately comes from socialist UK and Canada.

Because Obama "steps in it" so often and is seen more and more as the figurehead for others that he is, there is move afoot to have Hillary and Joe Biden switch places (the legality of that I am not up to date on). Then Obama will resign and Hillary will succeed him.

She is not the bumbling fool he is but don't be fooled. The agenda is the same. Remember Hillarycare? The 1,000 FBI files? The Rose Law Firm records? Vince Foster? Refusing to address terrorism? Refusal to take out bin Laden? Sucking up to Arafat? Fighting a war in the Balkins to help the Muslims while refusing to fight the Muslims who bombed our Embassies, which are considered American Territory, who bombed a Navy warship, the USS Cole, and who bombed the WTC in 1993?

The Clintons have the same Communist connections as Obama but they are much better hidden. Were it not for the strength of the Republicans in Congress in the '90s versus now, the Clintons would have done all that Obama is doing. The switch is intended to dampen the conservative fervor against the Democrats as demonstrated by the Tea Party Movement.

Don't fall for it!
