Believe it or not: The Wizzard of Oz. The images were disturbing to this sensitve twerp. I was a real whiney brat when I was a kid.

Now, I’m a whiney adult. :)

Yep, me too...the whole concept of being unable to return home...even though it was Kansas...freeked me out as a little twerp.

I was telling my wife this and she laughed and said the Wizard of Oz scared the heck out of her too.

When I was four years old, nothing seemed scarier to me than the scene in Snow White where the trees come alive and start clawing at her.

I saw Deliverance when I was about seventeen, and that's the only movie that ever gave me nightmares. The scene at the end where the hand comes up out of the lake and Jon Voigt wakes up in a night sweat scared me to death. I had recurring nightmares that I'd murdered someone and the police knew it but couldn't prove it.

I know I wasn't the only one that movie affected. Brian DePalma made an entire career ripping off the ending.

OMG, I can’t believe that anyone else was as creeped out by the Wizard of Oz as I was. Ohhhhh, the flying monkeys sent me running to my bedroom. So did the Lion walking, shaking and crying all the way up to see the Wizard! Nice to know it’s not just me!
