AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Run Tippy, RUN!!!!
You should read “The Strain” by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. Completely re-invents the vampire genre, bringing it to a whole new level of intense and scary.
Night of the Hunter
“Darby OGill And The Little People...The banshees got me...”
I’m having a blast with this whole thread...I was only 6 or 7 when I saw this. Being from a totally Irish family, I thought it was all factual.
The Day The Earth Stood Still.
I never got to see Dark Shadows when it originally aired as my job was 9 to 5, Mon-Fri. When I joined Netflix, I found the complete series available on DVD, from the beginning (before Barnabas appears), through to the end of the series. I finished watching it earlier this year, and at some point, plan on putting it back in my Netflix Queue to watch all over again.
Those darn flying monkeys are the earliest thing I can remember that truly frightened me. When they got a running start and lifted off....yikes!!
Without a doubt, the House of Wax. I cab still see that creature rising up of the gurney in the hospital morgue.
“Black Sabbath,” a little black and white trilogy with Boris Karloff. Remember the one where the woman tries to steal the ring from the dead psychic? O.M.G.
My Dad took us kids to a Herschell Gordon Lewis movie fest at our drive-in. This was the early 1970’s. Those gore movies haunted me for a long time.
Two Thousand Maniacs 1964
Color Me Blood Red 1965
Blood Feast 1963
LOL those damn pods were scary....
I just looked at Netflix for the movie “House of Dark Shadows” and they only had the TV series. Then I looked on Amazon and they have not come out with the movie on DVD yet.
