Third party candidates usually mess things up (Perot in 92) but in this case maybe not. Won’t he just need 34% of the vote to win?

Thus ensuring that the Democrats will control the governorship for 4 more years. Thanks a lot, Tom...

For the sake of conservatives, Maes has to drop out.

I hope John Hickenlooper remembers to thank Tom Tancredo for helping him become Colorado's next Governor...

...more malaise in Colorado as a result.

Tancredo made himself radioactive with this stunt.

It had nothing to to with "values" as he says, but it was all about EGO

Tom, I didn’t vote for you before and I’m not voting for you this time, understand. I’m voting for the Republican!

No, he needs a plurality. He could lose with 34% if the Democrat gets 35% and the Republican gets 31%.

“Third party candidates usually mess things up (Perot in 92) but in this case maybe not. Won’t he just need 34% of the vote to win?”

No way. Hickenloop will receive 40 to 50 percent, probably at least 45 percent. Without a unified conservative base, he may receive more than 50 percent. Two conservative candidates split the conservative vote. Even fringe party candidates can send the election to a rat. A third party candidate with 1 percent of the vote can tip a close election.

Unfortunately, Republican stupidity and Tancredo’s ego will give the election to Hickenlooper. Republicans nominated a candidate who has raised less than $300,000 so far. Hickenlooper can raise that much money in a few days. Tancredo has very high negatives so he could never win a state race even if he was the only conservative candidate.

This is more than just potentially costing the GOP the governor’s seat. This also puts in jeopardy the crucial Colorado senate race where we have a PRINCIPLED true conservative in Ken Buck running. Also, this will screw Republicans over in re-districting. Controlling the governor’s seat will give the GOP real power in shaping the congressional districts in the state which has major implications in future congresses.

Tancredo is a loser running a purely vanity campaign. A vote for Tancredo is a vote for the Obama/Pelosi agenda.

um No. what you need is a pluarity to win meaning the highest percentage so far Hickenlooper the Dem gets in the high 40s range while the R and Tancredo split the rest.
pompous @$$ should quit and back the R so it wont be a complete wash for crying out loud

Hickenlooper (D) was polling in the mid-high 40's last time I looked. Tancredo will not be drawing any votes from the liberals, only Maes. Hickenlooper is one lucky man. He doesn't even have to work to get elected.

The most recent poll I saw showed exactly that, a 50/25/25 split.

Maes was the big Tea Party winner at the Republican state assembly. No one cared that he couldn’t raise money. He was the little guy (with no experience in government and never successful in business) anti-establishment vote. He is a disaster candidate. Tancredo is a disaster candidate too. Unfortunately, Hickenlooper is a disaster soon-to-be governor.

He's running campaign ads on 760 AM, the local far-left radio station. I listened in a couple of days ago, and after the ad was over the host was laughing at Tancredo, knowing full well that he was guaranteeing a Democrat victory.
