Founding Ideals takes a quick look at this morning's Wall Street Journal editorial. The long and short of it - the bigots in our society aren't the American people, but the main stream media and political elitists that look down them.
TOPICS: Politics
KEYWORDS: islam; mainstreammedia; politicalelite; tolerance

So, is the WSJ going to stop then from calling those who disagree with their rabid open-borders stance
nativist (aka
bigot)?
Is the WSJ going to apologize for having done so?

Take it easy, it’s just a missed out word.

Quite the contrary, I'd say Americans are too tolerant for their own good, with political correctness replacing common sense, and worrying too much whether our words or actions will be considered acceptable by others instead of doing what we know is right.

I’m not sure the paper should apologize for an opinion that appears on it’s op-ed pages. It’s what op-ed pages are for.

When people constantly see particular ethnic groups attacking the fiber of the Nation they will become angry. It becomes more and more difficult to see individuals as things progress.
This isn't bigotry, it's self defense.

Im not sure the paper should apologize for an opinion that appears on its op-ed pages. Its what op-ed pages are for. No, the nativist slur is in the WSJ Editorials as much as the opinion pieces. The WSJ has laid relatively low on their open borders fetish in recent years, but they've not renounced a bit.

I think the WSJ is in favor of immigration reform (who isn't?), and it might reserve the term "nativist" for those screaming "you're in favor of open borders," and all that nonsense.
I mean, what else do you call stupid people?
