It’s a month long and since they use the lunar calendar it moves around constantly, last year it straddled the end of pre-season and the beginning of regular, this year it ends on the first day of regular season, and next year it’ll all be over comfortably in the pre-season. It’s really a big non-event. A while ago when it was in November and December it would have been a bigger thing, and was kind of a big thing for some NBA players, but now that it’s shifted to late summer this only reason this was a story on ESPN is because so little is happening. Had Brett Favre actually retired no one would know about this player’s fast.
