General Services Administration is the bureaucracy in charge of accommodating all the federal bureaucracy with space and real estate, transportation, and communication...Recently General Services Administration got in the news when the State Department put the blame on the GSA guidelines for the disappearance of the passport information for President Obamas mother. Below is another disappearing act performed by GSA: goats vs. men in Pasadena, California. GSA is in charge of the fire safety of the federal buildings so this year they hired goats instead of men to clean up the brush:
GSA is spending a lot of green to make the US government more green.GSA also seems to be proud of saving money from Stimulus projects and relocating it as they see fit to their own green projects as evident from their 2011 budget request :
We are awarding construction contracts for less than our initial estimates. This has resulted in approximately $173 million in funding being made available for reallocation, which has already been invested in additional high-performance green features on new and existing projects.
Weird
Better thing to do if you have savings of $173 million is to ask Congress where they should be allocated. Deficit reduction, maybe? Makes you wonder how much of the $800 billion Stimulus money were relocated this way.

Hey wait, the illegal Mexicans would have done this job instead of goats.
Though I know “green jobs” is code for spending 2-3$ for 1$ spent on a non-green job.
My favorite part is how they “save” from the Stimulus money and relocate it whenever they want.
