Hi fellow Freepers, I've been on this forum since 2002 (I think, if not earlier) and have just relocated to the Boston area (Weymouth to be exact). I was wondering if there are any local Freeper groups (or at least anti-lib) in the area that meet up at local bars to bitch about the current state of things? (especially in this place!)I've been in England for the past 7 years and want to get re-acquainted with like-minded patriots! I'm currently staying with my best friend from childhood who is a RABID OBAMA SUPPORTER, however she is a great person and not your typical liberal! She's actually pro-Israel, amongst other things...Anyway, if any Beantowners can help out and want to meet up, just shoot (he he) me an e-mail with details. Thanks so much!!!
You can’t leave where you are staying UNTIL you deprogram your friend. ;)
Try posting this on the Massachusetts board. Click on the Account button at the top of the FR page, then ‘My Locale’. You’ll see a listing of all of the state boards. Hope that helps!
Hi, I’m in Boxborough, slightly west of Concord. I don’t ever go to Weymouth. I also have a job, wife and grandkids so my dance card is pretty filled up. You’ll find about a third of the people in Massachusetts are conservative, but real principled conservatives, because for the most part we were born into it and did not just fall in with everyone else.
You’ve been here since July 8th 2003
Thanks...my sister Allegra told me about it before that and I guess I didn’t sign on until then...;-)
Cool! Will try it, Thanks! ;-)
LOL! I’ve caught her watching Fox News...
You’re welcome and best of luck. I’ve met some very nice FReepers in person that way. :)
Up here in Wisconsin, the county republicans have started a monthly Pints and Politics gathering at local bars. We meet at a different bar each month and invite other conservatives to join us to enjoy some adult beverages and to discuss politics in a polite manner. We engage the locals if they have questions and we've gotten several new members through the events. You may want to consider, if you do find a few FReeprs, of starting your own semi-regular Pints and Politics gathering, if people can discuss politics in a civil manner up there.
Tell Allegra I said hey!
Norwood here.
When most of us want to get the hell out of this state you move here.
I hope you know what you are doing....
:)
Hey there Allegra’s sis! If you ever get back to New Orleans, give out a shout.
