Griffith is a lifetime Democrat. He is a nice human being and terrific performer, but he is ignorant, as many Democrats of the old school are ignorant. And now, he is too old to be studying and overthrowing the liberal lies he has bought his whole life. He is fixated on helping the Democrat party as he has always been. I have always heard that the true Andy Griffith is more like his character, "Lonesome Rhodes" in his movie "A Face In The Crowd" than Andy Taylor on the Griffith show.

There's an inner streak of meaness that comes through from Andy, it can even be seen in some of his most recent interviews on UTube.

Andy Griffith is no Andy Taylor. Besides, the life of the Griffith show was Don Knotts, and the show went to hell after he left.
