Re: unofficial, commemorative Hospital Certificates with foot prints. I have one for my first daughter from IL in 1960, but my other 3 children, who were born in CA in 1961, 63, & 65, have none. The CA hospital told me they weren’t doing them any more. My mother has one for me born in ... (I won’t tell you) born in CA.

My sister has one of those commemorative Certificates. She was born in ‘65 in TX.

I always thought my parents got a little chinsy when I was born because I never had one.
I will just go with the story of they didn’t offer them. I’ll let my parents off the hook. LOL!

That is very odd. My youngest was born in San Jose, CA in 1964 and I received a hospital certificate for her. In fact it was only in the last few years I told her she needed to request from the Santa Clara County Health Dept an Official Certified Copy.
