Under the Constitution, the principal purpose of dividing power was that no one branch of the government could act without at least the tacit approval of both of the others. The Presidency and its Administration could enforce laws, but could neither create them, allocate money to pay for them, nor give them legal sanction. And the Courts could rule on the legality of the laws, but could neither write new laws nor effect, enforce nor pay for any action of their own, That's the way it was. Now, Obama has made everything different. Since....

Why the excerpt?
“Why the excerpt?”
Heh heh .. I think it’s called “building circulation for free, using someone else’s hard earned dough.”
5 trackers and 54 browser and flash cookies, maybe?
[just a wild assed guess]
Please clarify.
Thank you,

Hi Sal...how you been?
Busy cleaning this laptop of trackers, beacons, spyware, malware, ‘eternal cookies’, adware and other nefarious little whatnots.
How’s by you?....:)

Not bad...working hard, trying to keep my head above water, running a business and hoping the blood suckers with no talent that keep trying to profit from my hard work don’t p*ss me off so much I do something stupid...
Can’t Congress dissolve the EPA by taking away the money?
Regardless of the current "Outrage of the Day", every red-blooded American needs to be fearless, determined, direct, with the same principled conviction employed by our Founding Fathers in the Revolution. We need to get mad, and stay mad, until this fight has been unconditionally and unequivocally won, and then stay mad for a hundred years afterward. We need to take that righteous anger and determination into our political campaigns, into the voting booths to reclaim our nation from these commie bastards; and should those efforts fail, onto the field of battle, until the enemy has been utterly defeated.
We need to stay mad until all the commie bastards who have seized control of our government, our businesses, our markets, our schools, our bureacracies, our media, and the majority portion of our incomes, are either dangling from trees and lamposts from coast to coast, or decaying in the streets in puddles of their own bile and blood.
These commie Democrats and capitulating RINOs have betrayed their country and their neighbors. They want us dead, either by slow and determined programs to eat out our substance, or quickly and soon through some tried and true collectivist manners of democide, or some combination of both. We should treat them equally, with an equal degree of concern and caring, no more, no less.
Other than that, they're probably pretty decent people; we should do lunch.

As soon as one of his “order” bumps into someone that is deemed to be harmed, they have a cause of action that can eventually reach the Supreme Court. They will then have their chance to slap him down.

OK. You're pimping your blog. It's offensive.
If you have something to say, then by all means post it and we'll all take a look. If you're writing is interesting, you might get some fans for your site.
Teasing FReepers to click on a blog that is needlessly excerpted, only to have 5 trackers and 54 cookies deposited on their computers, just so you can make a buck is not a great way to make FRiends.
You're new. Maybe you never looked at it from this perspective. The majority of us here, donate to FreeRepublic, to keep it “on the air.” We do that to maintain our forum, not to provide bloggers with a business platform.
The excerpt function was instituted only because of potential (and actual) copyright lawsuits. It now functions automatically. But just in case you're interested, you can see the restricted sites here - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1111944/posts - If you try to post from a restricted site, it lets you know that you must excerpt your text. That's to keep FR safe from litigation.
If you have no restricted or copyrighted material on your blog (i.e. if it's just your own composition) then you have no reason to excerpt the text. Unless, of course, you're just pimping your blog.
Did that clarify my question?
In point of fact, I might not have been so blunt, but your posting history shows a series of “1 of X” without even a modicum of discussion. If you were trying to be a part of the FR community, one would expect to see a little more interaction.
“Clarify? OK. You’re pimping your blog. It’s offensive.”
That pretty well summed up the problems I have with blog pimping here...couldn’t have been more clear or more well said...thanks. Hope some of these folks take heed...
I agree. Shibumi has been doing some great work lately. Somebody has to take care of the blogpimps.
