Independent voters have broken away from President Obama, a trend backed up by public polling, largely due to fiscal issues, Luke Frans of Resurgent Republic told attendees at the Bloggers Briefing at the Heritage Foundation on July 27, 2010. Resurgent Republic provided the attendees at the briefing with the results of their eighth national survey, highlighting the shift in Independents, targeting twelve designated toss up or battleground voting states.
This drift of Independents also coincided with and resulted from the health care debate, and not just in reaction to the policies, but the process of the debate, Frans reported. The results of the survey are overall political climate pieces, and show that Republicans are more energized to take part in the voting process than both Independent and Democratic voters. Independents, in turn, show more intensity to vote than the Democrats. A statistic shows that 65% of all voters, in any political party in these twelve tested states, are absolutely certain they will vote. Of this figure, when broken down into parties, 73% of all Republicans, 64% of all Independents, and 57% of all Democrats are probable voters.
On another note, Republicans and Independents alike harbor a similar attitude of discouragement and uneasiness at the current direction of the country. There is an occurring widening on the right track, wrong direction question, Frans informed his listeners. Large numbers of party members agree that overall America is on the wrong track. Statistics show that 65% of citizens overall find this true, broken down into 93% of Republicans, 67% of Independents, and 52% of Democrats.

The problem with independant voters is that they are easily fooled by charletans like Obama.
Exactly. They also tend to be indecisive and usually go along with the crowd. Whichever way the wind blows. A lot of them suffer from “white guilt”. They make their voting choices from whatever they hear on the boob tube or read in the editorial pages.
