I felt ill walking out of the theatre. [An Inconvenient Truth is]
terrible. It does not respect the intelligence of the viewer. The film does not acknowledge people can think for themselves at all, This explains a lot about the Nobel Prize Committee.

Funny, all the pretty people gave it an Oscar. But, then again, they gave Mr. Skittles a peace prize. How come the pretty people are the ones that decide these things? Reagan, Thatcher and Pope Paul collapsed the Soviet Union without firing a shot, freeing millions and they don’t get diddly from the Nobel crowd.

He is really well spoken. Unambiguous, direct, supports his positions with reason, etc.
Contrast with his opposition.

I agree with - nay, I
relish - most of what he says about the AGW movement. And on that basis, yay him.
I just wouldn't rely on him as a speaker for our team. He's off his head, and one day will be gibbering about Halliburton like a second Sheehan.

The political class is doing what they always do - surfing the wave. I maintain that if Bill Clinton had been governor of Arkansas in 1957 instead of Orville Faubus, he would have been the one standing in the schoolhouse door. Instead, he was tearfully experiencing non-existent church burnings. The hallmark of a successful politician is an agile moral compass, not too firmly guided by any durable principle other than election and re-election.

Gore strikes me as someone working for someone -- as someone who will financially benefit from this. He does not give me impression of someone who genuinely cares about environmental or social justice. I used to feel really sorry for algore.I mean,if he had just managed to carry his home state in 2000 he'd be "former President algore" today. But no,he couldn't even come *close* to pulling off that easy task (he came closer to carrying NH than TN).But since then algore's become a billionaire thanks to his "global warming" scam.It sounds like this scientist hit the nail right on the head.

Its hard to believe that educated people who at least appear to care about what is right were not able to see the global warming scam for what it is from the start. Captain Obvious is not doing his job.

Hmm - maybe it will turn out that Rancourt is just
pretending to be bats**t insane about cartels and industrial combines as a sort of 'passport', allowing him to safely - and accurately - decry the AGW agenda. In which case I would take back what I said about him.
I forget that Liberals get paid by Liberals, and sometimes need to act a part.

Interesting article. I get an uneasy feeling reading self-admitted socialist after self-admitted socialist denounce AGW. I mean, there are a ton of very noteworthy quotes in the article, but I get the feeling that, at the end of the day, most of the people cited in the interviews would just as soon execute the head of every capitalist organization. They just don’t want to do under the banner of the IPCC’s initiatives.

The problem is that too much money and too many VERY large egos are now at stake for AGW to be brushed away like it should be.
