I called several different businesses in the Laredo area. None were very willing to discuss the situation there, but one person told me things are getting much worse across the river than is being reported. No one knew or refused to acknowledge any news of ranches being taken. One store closest to the area went silent as soon as I asked about the ranches and disconnected moments later.
