Shirley Sherrod was visibly disappointed after the phone call apology from President Obama. She wanted to share with the President of the USA the unique experience of her life. She wanted to tell him about the South. Mrs. Sherrod like many Americans has so much to say. She felt she deserved to tell her life-story of struggle. Instead President Obama assured her the USDA Secretary was serious about the job offer.
However, Shirley Sherrod is not in it for a job position.
President Obama was chasing a new job position whole his life. This is all he knows moving from one job position to the next better one.
It is not the case for Shirley Sherrod. She lived through the civil rights movement and she walked the walk.
She and her mother overcame the horrible tragedy the murder of a husband and father the white man who did it never brought to justice. They overcame the burning crosses her mother chased the harassers with a gun. Shirley and her mother worked hard to bring the changes that make Barack Obama possible.
Shirley Sherrod believed she deserved to have the ear of the President because to quote her she paid her dues and she knows she is part of the Barack Obama success. In fact when talking to young people and families at NAACP she urges them to help each other, to lift the kids to excel. She told them in the video: Who knows? May be you are helping the second black President of America! This is how she motivated the young to strive for more.
In fact Shirley Sherrod understands how ridiculous is the job offer for her to work as a Discrimination Czar at the Department of Agriculture. She understands the racial reconciliation in America and in the USDA is much more complicated task that cannot be accomplished by appointing a Czar no matter how genius he or she is.
Unfortunately for Shirley Sherrod her appearance on the political scene was quite an inconvenience for the White House. President Obama decided 7 minutes of official apology will do it and that Shirley Sherrod is not really a beer summit material.
In unemployment situation when so many folks are dreaming about jobs President Obama offered a job to the only person who didnt want it. Shirley Sherrod wanted to make a difference and to tell the President about the South.
She rejected the job offer so she can so the government for big bucks IMHO.AWB
Time to stock up on that Orville Redenbacher salt and pepper microwave good stuff. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm!
1. P .. K4
woman scorned is a dangerous enemy. If were Obama I would be sipping beer with her.
If she plays this right, she will be a millionaire.
Again-Even.....
My guess is Obama and Vilsack will not pay for future lawsuits with their own money but with tax-payer money.
She'll be campaigning for Obama very soon...
I wonder did she teach anyone to sing
Barack Hussein Obama MMM MMM MMM
Shirley’s first shakedown was for $13M for her group and $300K for her and hubby. Now she will try Agriculture, fox, and breitbart. Its marxist share the wealth for Shirley.
Since she is authentic and down for the struggle, we must take Mz Sherrod's word as gospel, suspend all USDA activities, and subject the entire department to a thorough investigation, sparing no one. For Congress to do any less would be to deny Mz Sherrod's five hundred year's agony and would likewise deny the validity of all those of her kind. Congress must return to DC immediately and remain until its investigation is complete and a report submitted to the people.
To do less would be a monstrous betrayal of all of our Esteemed President's most deeply held convictions.
Time to close USDA?
He doesn’t give a crap about your life story, Shirley. No one’s life story is bigger or better than The Won’s.
Soooo big, in fact, that he had to write his first biography while he was still in his thirties. His thirties! LOL
And they said Bush was arrogant?
