My kids loved visiting my best friend because she had all kinds of snacks (which I couldn't afford).
They even remember what she had and they're in their 40's.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who are making those very plans. Some of them will be successful, because a lot of those who have stocked up haven't prepared, mentally and/or physically, to defend their homes. Yet others will be dead on the doorsteps of those folks who have.
