OK, so what's going on here? Why would the New York Post print a story stating as a fact that Sarah Palin's daughter was pitching a TV show without bothering to get confirmation from any of the alleged stars of such a show? They certainly must have trusted their sources. And who would those sources be?
One online commenter said of their reunion, "When you have no way to come up with $1,700 a month in child support . . . and there aren't any other jobs out there . . . options are limited."
Hmmm. "One online commenter"? Better make that one anonymous commenter at a notorious anti-Palin blog:

I'm reproducing the screen-capture of that comment because I don't want to link the blog -- which is the same blog that pushed the "Palin divorce" hoax in August 2009!
Yes, that's right. A mere anonymous commenter at the "Immoral Minority" blog (operated by a disgraced former kindergarten teacher) qualifies as an authoritative source for the New York Post. How so? Apparently, after posting that blog comment, the commenter was quoted at the Gawker gossip site last week.
As I remarked last week, some reporters seem to have added a special clause to their ethical code for all stories relating to Sarah Palin: Any "source" is acceptable, so long as the source is anti-Palin.

There were some people here on FR who wanted it to be true.
The MSM can no longer be trusted to get ANYTHING right
Of course..the ones that absolutely hate her and obsess everyday about wanting her life to be a living hell..yeah I read the posts..so all this BS about a supposed reality show came from some loser who sits in his mama’s basement looking at pictures of little boys..WOW..I wonder if those same people that trashed Sarah’s family and called it a “Train wreck” will apologize for believing such phony baloney crap
Oh yeah. Big time.
But the bottom line is that because he’s such a scumbag, people thought it could be true..Hey, it’s not out of the realm that it could have happened. I’m glad it didn’t, because that would have sunk her.
Far too many of them are right here on FR.
Oh...don’t get us wrong, Levi is a bad guy and is not trust worthy and it’s sad that Sarah has to deal with him because of her daughters emotional attachment to him...but there was a certain glee from the same ole’ types that always bash Sarah and claim that she isn’t a christian enough.....Blah, blah, blah. Bet you this thread won’t reach 100+ post like those others....

“””There is a lot of public speculation that Bristol and Levi have signed up for a reality show about their relationship. They have not,” Palin’s rep tells Us. “While several networks have pitched different concepts, Bristol has not agreed to participate in any show. Her focus remains on doing what is best for Tripp and her family.”

“”Money certainly talks. Our sources estimate Us Weekly paid $100,000 to Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston for the story on their engagement. The cash not only bought an exclusive interview with the couple, but also screwed competitor People. The single mom gave interviews to both magazines, but didn’t tell People about the engagement or that they’d hidden their reconciliation from Sarah Palin.
Bristol lied to People: “We’re not totally back together, but I’m not ruling it out . . . I don’t want to get into what’s in store for our future because, who knows?” But Us Weekly knew. Bristol hid her left hand in the People photo shoot, though proudly revealed her ring to Us Weekly. An Us Weekly rep said, “We were approached by Bristol and Levi to break the news, and we didn’t pay $100,000.””
Given the nature of our boy Levi, we'll get a reality show whether or not it's broadcast. With him there will always be a story.
So will any Palin haters post this story multiple times from different sources?
No? Didn’t think so.
Well, actually, the New York Post doesn’t usually behave that way. And they are not Sarah bashers. So I was taken in by it. I wouldn’t have put it past Bristol’s former fiance to do something like this. And as I said, if Bristol agreed, you can’t really blame Sarah for it. Not even the best parents can help it if their kids grow up and decide to do something stupid.
I’d still like to see a little more in the way of certainty from a reliable source, but on its face, this looks like good news. I didn’t want to think that Sarah had lost a daughter.
You would think that the Sarah haters who were quick to use this hoax to trash Bristol and especially Sarah would apologize for jumping their gun and their vitriol. But nope, they are just waiting in the woodwork to jump to next BS story that comes along to show “their superior intellect” and vent their animus.
MOST people here on FR wanted it to be true.
Of course they won’t back track all of the things they have said......at the very least they could acknowledge that this is a good thing for the child’s sake and at least this girl hasn’t gone “completely” off the deep end yet.....But they alas they are savoring their time for the next big scandal!
Hmmmmmmmm.......
