Maggie's Notebook ^ | July 14, 2010 | Maggie M. Thornton

The Obama administration is giving the state of Pennsylvania $160 million from taxpayers to fund a "high-risk" insurance program to "cover any abortion that is legal in Pennsylvania." Rep. Bart Stupak's Abortion by Executive Order is off to a galloping start, and warmly embraced by the state of Pennsylvania.

Remember Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Mich-1st) who eventually found it more soothing to his soul to overlook abortions, in exchange for $578 million in earmarks, and another $727,000 for airports in his home district - the day after his 'yea' vote for ObamaCare? Congressman, how's your "moral principle" doing this morning?

How many babies can be aborted for that much money? Anyone?

"Congressman, how's your "moral principle" doing this morning?"

Stupak: "Bought and paid for, just the way I like it, thank you."

If anyone has a link to forum rules, please leave it in a reply here. What I have read on FR does not address disallowing a blogger posting excerpts in Blogger and Personal, or rules requiring the poster to add to the conversation in the 1st comment space. Any validation will be appreciated. Thanks.

I’m guessing as a kid Bart Stupak was called Bart Stupid - looks like the shoe fits.

Anyone know if Mr. Stupak has been asked about this on camera? It really needs to be covered.

I’m sorry, but somebody ought to just beat the living sh*t out of that guy. Sometimes, a good bit*h-slapping is all that will do the job.

I can’t wait to see if all these dems who voted obediently with Nancy and Harry actually get their payoff when they are booted in November.

Did Obama promise to have his cronies set them all up for life?

So much for Pro-Life Democrats. I won’t support them for precisely the reason Stupak caved: Party Peer Pressure. With modern DeomcRats its Party before Principle, without exception.

Stupak is a Democrat. You cannot put morality and Democrat in the same sentence.

How on earth do these people reconcile what they do with what they say they believe, theologically speaking? Do they confess their votes as sin? How does that help? The babies are still getting aborted. It’s cold comfort to them, if the people who made it possible later ‘clear’ their conscience of the whole mess.

... or "trust" or "honesty" or "commitment to stated principles".

The one good thing -- Stupak wanted so hard to believe in BO ... but now he has been "stupaked" by his the one for whom he sold his honor and reputation.
