Two Polls – Two Votes Of No Confidence In Obama

Two new polls and Obama's dropping like a brick. Hell, even when there is a biased sample used by the pollsters they can't hide the fact. The Wash Post/ABC poll oversampled Democrats by seven points both in its general (31/24) and registered (33/26) groups but whatever. It's what we've come to expect from the yahoo's in the MSM.

Public confidence in President Obama has hit a new low, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll. Four months before midterm elections that will define the second half of his term, nearly six in 10 voters say they lack faith in the president to make the right decisions for the country, and a clear majority once again disapproves of how he is dealing with the economy.

Regard for Obama is still higher than it is for members of Congress, but the gap has narrowed. About seven in 10 registered voters say they lack confidence in Democratic lawmakers and a similar proportion say so of Republican lawmakers.

Overall, more than a third of voters polled — 36 percent — say they have no confidence or only some confidence in the president, congressional Democrats and congressional Republicans. Among independents, this disillusionment is higher still. About two-thirds of all voters say they are dissatisfied with or angry about the way the federal government is working.

Such broad negative sentiments have spurred a potent anti-incumbent mood. Just 26 percent of registered voters say they are inclined to support their representative in the House this fall; 62 percent are inclined to look for someone new.

Ed Morrissey on other numbers:

He took the biggest hit on the economy, losing 12 points in the gap in just a month:

Economy – 43/54, down from 50/49 in June
Health care – 45/50, down from 49/49 in April
Budget deficit – 40/56, basically unchanged since April
Regulation of financial industry – 44/50, down from 48/48 in April

The confidence numbers, though, should be more worrisome than any others except perhaps the economy.

Presidents can back unpopular legislation and still be seen as a leader; Reagan did it in both terms. Obama has been exposed as an empty suit in a crisis, and that may not be a conclusion that Obama can reverse.

You can't sell a polished turd to the people, no matter how much media attention you give it. 2,000+ word bills going through our Legislative branch has done nothing to better the American jobs and economic situations. While small businesses are shuttering around the country and large organizations are downsizing quickly, the government is sitting at their throne telling the people it's raining while spitting at us.

The commies find the polls they want to see. On Morning Joe they were pimping a poll that asked an unknown sampling who they distrusted: Independents, Dems or Republicans. In the commie poll Dems were at about 68%, Republicans were at 72%.

There was much rejoicing on Morning Joe that this means the beating in the fall will be minimal for the Dems. Then they went to F. Chuck Todd and his 4 reasons the Republicans will screw up and not make serious gains in November.

If communists weren’t so dangerous, they’d be funny.

It’s not just Obama; it’s his supporters who are frightening.
