Haven't seen the movie but a couple of my kids have and said***Mom, that movie is about Grandpa: Lived in Detroit until he hit 80 and answered the door with a gun in his hand. One guy came to his door asking to use the phone to report an accident..(his house backs on I 75. Dad pointed his gun at him and let him in to use the phone and the guy made a call and got out of the house fast...Another guy rang his bell and again he answered the door with a gun in site....the guy ran away. His neighborhood was really bad, the guy 2 doors down got shot in the head getting out of his car coming home from work....
Somebody broke into his garage via a window, but couldn't take out much (they wanted his T Bird, but he use to have a Gran Torino) You needed a key to get in and out of the garage. They took a few tools and left via the window they broke to get in....His garage had a front door and a back door that opened onto the I 75 service drive...(when I was a kid, it was an alley)
