Let's see...choosing between the words of the Founding Fathers and the words of a poem turned into song by a Wellesley College alumni/faculty member...that's such a hard choice. Since you're wanting to be so correct, let me point out that Katharine Lee Bates (the Wellesley College alumna [not alumni] and professor) did not set her poem to music. I am assuming you meant "by a Wellesley College . . ." to jump over "turned into a song" and modify "poem" directly, but it's not clear.
