Though this is kinda off topic please allow me to ask this question: Where does the Living Will and Do Not Rescusistate Me come in here? Is is along the same lines as euthanasia?

I've had a Living Will and DNR for decades but since I've become a Christian and pro-life I've begun to question these two items and wonder if I should continue on with them.

Only problem is that at least one of the hospitals in my area presents both documents to a person upon any testing or admitting to their hospital and strongly urges the patient to sign them. I don't know if they would deny care if the patient were to refuse but I've gotten the feeling (my own experience) that they just might.

Thanks for you opinions. I highly regard them.

IMO (and that’s all it is), everyone needs an advocate - a very close friend or relative who loves you and knows you well and is willing to stand up to doctors, nurses and hospital authorities to make sure your desires are done, you are not killed, and if you do not want “heroic life saving measures” (which description is entirely subjective) that they are not forced on you.

For example, I do want life saving measures, but if I was 85 with a very terminal condition or more than one terminal condition, I might not want “heroic life saving measures”.

My position is that doctors, nurses and most of all hospital authorities canNOT be trusted at this point. Any medical procesures you do or do not want done to you, you MUST discuss in detail and carefully with your doctor/s and if you are still not sure they understand or will stand up for your wishes, you especially need a friend/relative advocate.

Who will fight for you if need be.

I don’t know if this is helpful or not, hope so. I would also sign anything possible that says “NO ORGAN DONATIONS”! That may accelerate “them” saying you are dead so they can get your organs.

PS - I am as pro-life as can be, other than also being a death penalty advocate.
