After all, the same accusation – with the races reversed - was made about George Bush and white people after hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast and the MSM treated the accusation seriously and with respect. In fact, Bush was accused of "terrorism" - blowing up the levees around New Orleans - so that blacks would be driven out. So why should we not ask if Lisa Jackson, whose focus is “environmental justice” not be suspected that her version of environmental justice demands that white people on the Gulf Coast should live on polluted shores, be deprived of jobs, driven from their homes and die earlier than normal as a way of getting even?
Come on MFM, begin asking the question. Why were extremely effective Dutch skimmers being denied an opportunity to help clean up the Gulf because they were not 100% effective in separating oil from water? This makes no sense at all from an environmental perspective.

Moneyrunner, your site is, shall we say, “busy” and kind of unreadable. It’s much easier just to read it here, with FR’s cleaner template.
But seriously, moneyrunner, you are a very longtime FReeper (1998 if I am correct) and remember the days when FR used to be a place to post content, and then stay and discuss in depth. It also allowed for content to be archived.
Larger media sued and made excerpting an evil necessity, but only for specific sites that have been listed.
I looked at your profile page. It’s clear you’ve had quite a life, and appreciate our freedoms. You seem like a decent person (although I think, in fairness, that you overreacted a bit and turned to personal attacks, which is a bit unbecoming). I’m sure you’d be a great guy to have a drink with.
So here is my plea, and I hope you’ll take it to heart.
Yes, you have a right to a blog (this is a free country still, for the most part, and freedom of speech is fundamental). Keep it up, I say.
But please consider FR as a place to share, not a place to attract hits.
Remember the early days. You posted content, whether from another source, or you created your own and called it a vanity. But you posted the whole thing, and tried to discriminate about what you said and how often (no one wants to spam FR). And you stayed and discussed and sometimes defended your position. That is (was) what FR is all about.
That is what attracted me, among other things.
FR is still a great site. But truth be told, the content is horribly diluted and adulterated by blog after blog after blog that posts a sentence or two, and most of which, one must admit, merely rehash older news. New analysis of an older story by a thoughtful blogger CAN be helpful at times. So if/when you believe you have done that, again I say, why not just share it with us, and stick around to discuss it. Then you’re really contributing.
Also, when you post your entire thoughts, you can naturally provide a link where we can go and read your other stuff. People will do that.
Take these comments in the spirit intended, and let’s see if we can defuse the bickering a bit and keep FR a great place.
