Exactly. When the chips are down, and they are with this SCOTUS, the Congressional Repubs are useless. Talk is cheap for them. They will hand wave and jump up and down, then they will confirm her. God help us.
What if she said "It's OK to forcibly round up illegals and ship them home because the fed will never really enforce it". Do you think they'd think twice about rejecting her? Yet she argues against the constitution and, just watch, she'll sail right through. The difference is that while illegals have no right to be here, the constitution expressly forbids banning books.

The stuff the dems made up about Bork wasn't even true. The Pubs could nail her on statements like this and that she's unqualified for the gig, TOTALLY!
Remember how the right reacted to the Harriet Myers nomination by Bush? A lot of us went ballistic knowing she didn't have the proper qualifications. They withdrew her nomination before any confirmation hearings.
I wish for once the left could think like responsible adults. {sigh}At least the Pubs should give her a good grilling and expose as much of her "progressive" views as possible and then every Pub should vote nay in committee. It's something like 12-7 democrats so she'll get a vote on the floor no matter.
