VIDEO: Democrat County Supervisor Doesn’t Know Arizona Borders Mexico But Supports Boycott
Eyeblast TV ^ | 7/25/2010 | Joe Schoffstall

Democrat County Supervisor Peggy West of the Milwaukee County Board vocally showcased her opposition to the Arizona immigration law and support of a boycott on the state.

Her reason for supporting such a measure is simple; if Arizona were a state like Texas, “a state that directly shares a border” with Mexico, she would then think twice about it. According to her, that’s not the case. Arizona is state “removed from the border.”

“If this was Texas, which is a state that directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this, saying they have an issue with—you know– undocumented people, flooding their borders, I would say– I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state a ways removed from the border, and it doesn’t make sense to me that when you Google this subject, when you put in “Arizona SB 1070, that you see a picture of the governor of Arizona meeting with President Obama in May of 2010. If you have direct linkage to the president, there are already national guard troops in the border in Arizona”, West said in opposition to the law.

Another board member quickly intervened as those in attendance began whispering among themselves, amazed at the statement.

You're right, she is a product of taxpayer funded schools, including her college "degree" from MATC.

One of the conservative members of the WI state legislature started this website to help make up for the Peggys of WI: We're sorry Arizona

Ahhh, another “Wise Latina Woman”.

What’s the saying, about keeping your mouth shut, rather than opening it, and removing any doubt that you are a fool?

This reminds me of a time at the NJ DMV (or whatever name they call themselves)- the guy next to me trying to get a driver’s license and was asking why he had to fill out a form for immigrating from a foreign country. The DMV clerk smacked her lips and snapped at him “Sir... you moved here from New Mexico. New MEXICO is a foreign country.” The guy put his head on the counter and mumbled to himself.

Sheriff’s office raids El Mirage business

http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/local/article_547e1c0c-807b-11df-9f0d-001cc4c03286.html

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has raided a sanitation business in El Mirage and neighboring Youngtown northwest of Phoenix.

The Sheriff’s Office said deputies began serving search warrants early Friday at Parks & Sons sanitation of Sun City.

The search warrants are based on anonymous tips from current Parks & Sons employees.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio told reporters the company was under investigation for eight months.

A total of 40 people are being checked for their immigration status and whether they used false identification and Social Security numbers.

The company’s Web site says it’s provided impeccable service to customers in the West Valley since 1964.

There was no answer at the business Friday morning.

I believe there was a map, once upon a time, that somehow managed to neglect putting New Mexico between Texas & Arizona. I think there was someone trying to go to the olympics in the 1990s that was hassled a bit, needed to go through his embassy or something.

But, to see such blatant ignorance from someone speaking publicly about this situation, just makes me shake my head. She could google and find that Obama and Brewer had met (only after public pressure), but she couldn’t google the location of Arizona?
