Yes, progressivism is statist but there are many other forms of statism. In any case drug prohibition is a statist policy and, more importantly, un-Constitutional.

Drug prohibition, at the state level, is perfectly constitutional. And if I’m not mistaken, the vast majority of states prohibit the vast majority of ‘recreational’ drugs.
