I was inspired by a talk shows discussion this week on whether President Obama is a better legislator or executive as President thus far. I believe that hes taken a strong role as a legislator, and struggled as an executive.
Going back through my notes from my American Presidency class, the President has four major functions. (1) Symbol head of state (2) Policy Advocate (3) Mediator Hes the only elected official with a national constituency and (4) Crisis Manager. I think he has been weak on two of the four.

but he was certainly a better legislator than president. That's only because, as a legislator, he didn't have the real power to hurt America as he does now.

Biggest friggen slouch to ever enter the White House IMO. He's not doing this though, 1000+ page bills do not appear overnight, he's waiting for the oil to hit the East Coast IMO, then cap and tax. Just like he's been told to do.

... a talk shows discussion this week on whether President Obama is a better legislator or executive as President thus far. Neither. Why do these leftwing moonbats try to (even partially) cover up a perfect 100% FAILURE.

(1) Symbol head of state (2) Policy Advocate (3) Mediator Hes the only elected official with a national constituency and (4) Crisis Manager. I think he has been weak on two of the four. weak? He's an unmitigated disaster across the board! Symbol? How about being un-American and anti-American? How about bowing to other leaders? How about trashing allies and appeasing enemies? He's a symbol of failure.
Policy? Yeah, pure Marxism, socialism with a hefty dose of fascism thrown in.
Mediator? Mr "I won" who has caused some of the most partisan politicing ever? Mr "acted stupidly" who jumps to racially motivated and biased conclusions? Epic fail as my son would say.
Crisis management... Well, his crisis management skills are washing up on LA beaches right now. This guy has no, nada, zip, none- experience as a leader or executive. It isno wonder he doesn't know how to manage even a moderately serious industrial accident. Now it is a major crisis for the region.
Lacking? He is without a shred of doubt the worst President ever.

Best answer No! I love that.
I wouldn’t give him credit for anything other than the destruction we see now economically.

I see you're new here, and relatively new to life as well. Because I believe in the sanctity of life, and the fact that you still have some of the innocence of the newly born, I will try to be kind. (This is very hard for me.)
"I was inspired by a talk shows discussion this week on whether President Obama is a better legislator or executive as President thus far."
First off, you shouldn't watch talk shows, or TV at all for that matter. The fact that you would give serious credence to a show that suffered such a topic to be aired is reason enough. You are far too young and impressionable for such things. Shows which put forth topics of this nature are for comic relief, at best.
"Going back through my notes from my American Presidency class,..."
Really?
Really!
They really offered a class called "American Presidency"?
And you not only took it, but you took notes? What degree did you get, a double major in PoliSci and Social Justice with a minor in Presidencies?
No matter what your Commie-Lib Professors told you, the functions and duties of the President are very clearly specified in Article II of the US Constitution. I just reread it (in case I missed something) but I don't see the words "Policy", "Symbol", "Mediator" or "Crisis" anywhere.
Five minutes of reading the news on this forum will (or should) convince you that what you are looking at is a Marxist Usurper, with a completely Anti-American agenda in hand, who holds no regard for the Constitution, or the nation which adopted it. He is surrounded by sycophants, spineless groupies and avaricious looters, the AufgeblasenBlutegelBourgeoisieBurokraten who keep him in power at America's expense.
That's the kindest commentary I can make based on the excerpt you posted. I have no intention of going to an unknown website to read any more pseudo-substantive drivel.
Have a nice day, and welcome to FreeRepublic.

He was definitely a better legislator because it restricted his ability to do damage to the country. We would be much better off if he was still in the senate diddling himself and voting present.

I've learned that you can never really have too many Q-Tips.
I mean, there are so many uses for them. Really.
I could name a few helpful tips, but I know I'd just get all carried away and list about 150 of 'em before I could even try to make myself stop.
