Ann hit the nail on the head when she said the lefties were like children, that they believed in Obama the way a child would believe in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. He was supposed to be superhuman (he certainly did nothing to disabuse them of that notion during the campaign, re: the Berlin speech) and he has poochscrewed this oil leak far, far worse than any deficiency in GWB’s response to Katrina. Indeed, it’s the Gulf Coast/Katrina comparison that makes it worse. Now he is revealed to be an incompetent klutz, who only cares about the politics of the situation and they are having a tantrum.

The problem is, the left is upset with obama because he is not assuming dictatorial powers to destroy BP and “fix the leak”. They seem to think if he had more power he could fix what he can’t seem to do now.

Watching people agitate for tyranny is so upsetting to me. If they want to be controlled so badly by a “leader”, why don’t they just move to a country like Venezuela or Cuba where the strong man can arbitrarily do what he wants?
