The banks and insurance companies are absolutely like burglars walking up to every door and window until they find one unsecured.
I recently discovered that I had been being greatly overcharged for my home insurance so I cancelled with that insurer and secured an alternative carrier.
My former insurer refused to accept the cancellation and turned me over to a collection agency after THEY cancelled the policy which I had rejected.
I could not make these things up if I tried.
Otherwise known as "picking nits".
