RFID chips can be read from as far away as 20 yards.

i wouldn’t be surprised if they put them in traffic lights, right next to the chem sniffers

and no, i’m not kidding (i didn’t think the RFID chip stuff was news... it’s been out for years)

this was once just the purview of negative utopian and some sci-fi authors, but I believe that this type of taxserf monitoring is the future of the west, and possibly well within my lifetime.

The 20th century (in the US, in any event) may very well be looked at in the future as a libertarian paradise compared to what awaits.

This could work well to discourage illegal immigrants from returning to the US once deported - kind of like the “Escape from New York” solution! Re-enter and blow up!!
