Apparently Obama is having trouble wooing even the most liberal media darlings.
Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews go back and forth trashing Obama’s gulf speech as full of hot air. I did not watch his speech, but based on their commentary it sounded like it was a typical Obama speech – lots of smooth talk with no substance.
Olbermann: “It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days.”
Olbermann: “Nothing specific at all was said.”
Matthews: “No direction.”
Olbermann: “I don’t think he aimed low, I don’t think he aimed at all. It’s startling.”
Matthews: Ludicrous that he keeps saying [Secretary of Energy] Chu has a Nobel prize. “I’ll barf if he does it one more time.”
Matthews: “A lot of meritocracy, a lot of blue ribbon talk.”
Matthews: “I don’t sense executive command.”
Usually the democrats are falling all over themselves at the mention of a Nobel Peace Prize winner but Obama’s mention of one just brought a scowl to Chrissy’s lips. However, because these guys have invested so much of their being into Obama, have been paid to promote the Obama brand, they’ll be singing his praises shortly. They’ll do it but without believing as they once did in the miracle of Obama’s leadership.

Interesting. Is he an environmental crazy or just ripping Obama? I’m just having a hard time believing they are REALLY going to turn 100% against him. When it comes down to the election I just do not see the MSM complaining about a Democrat.
Before everyone gets all giddy and believes that Matthews and Olberman are actually “getting it”, what these two are unhappy about is that Obama didn’t act like Chavez and nationalize the oil companies.
If Obama had anounced that he was taking over the oil companies, both of these dimwitts would be prasing the greatest speech in history and lauding his “courage” and leadership.

I wasn’t addressing you...just the thread in general....There are those who think, wrongly, that when these two dimwitts attack their saviour, that they have seen the light....they will never see the light.
I think it all depends on what happens in November.
There is anti-incumbent sentiment in LOTS of places and even if we come close to winning back the House in Nov. (worst case scenario — the perfect scenario would be that we retake the House) then expect the rats in Congress and the rats in the MSM to throw 0 under the bus.
If these dem politicians find themselves out of a job come Nov., it’s largely because they’ve chosen to associate themselves with a loser Pres__ent who currently has just a 42% approval rating (and that’s likely going to go even lower, in the lead-up to Nov.).
When 0 drops into the high 30’s for approval, which will happen, the MSM has no choice but to abandon 0.
Why?
Because the MSM continuing to prop him up means they’d be helping to enable him get the 2012 nomination, and if that happens, he’d lose big-time, even to Mickey Mouse.
I think at this point, Matthews, Olbermann and the like are picturing a Hillary vs. somebody scenario in 2012.
And with that said, if the Nov. mid-terms go horrible for the dem’s, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hillary promptly resign from her position as Sec. of State, since she too would want to distance herself from the President, as being associated with him craters her own poll numbers.
Oh that’s okay. I just thought maybe you were since I posted the song...but no problem on my end at all.....
And I think a lot of the “hope” expressed might just be sarcasm too. :-)

Not sure on this...got to agree with Beck on this.....Olbermann, Matthews and the left are pissed because Obama is not being thuggish enough...
The worm may be turned but not in a way we want... the left wants their American Castro, Chavez, Stalin, NOW !

BTW, Crissie has been promoting his “special” about how all conservatives, and especially tea party ones, are gun-toting militia nutjobs planning a violent overthrow of the government. Apparently Crissie doesn't remember (or assumes his leftie college-kid audience isn't aware) that the lefties already played the “militia” card years ago, with disastrous results. Remember Waco and Ruby Ridge?
