Apparently Obama is having trouble wooing even the most liberal media darlings.
Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews go back and forth trashing Obama’s gulf speech as full of hot air. I did not watch his speech, but based on their commentary it sounded like it was a typical Obama speech – lots of smooth talk with no substance.
Olbermann: “It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days.”
Olbermann: “Nothing specific at all was said.”
Matthews: “No direction.”
Olbermann: “I don’t think he aimed low, I don’t think he aimed at all. It’s startling.”
Matthews: Ludicrous that he keeps saying [Secretary of Energy] Chu has a Nobel prize. “I’ll barf if he does it one more time.”
Matthews: “A lot of meritocracy, a lot of blue ribbon talk.”
Matthews: “I don’t sense executive command.”
GReat video. The worm has turned.
Yep, Obama could be on a big downward spiral, if his cheerleaders in the MSM are turning on him.
So this speech didn’t give Chris Matthews a thrill up the leg and all that?
And did Chris still forget Obama is black?
They still managed to say that BP wasn’t letting people on the beaches and whined that the other oil companies weren’t rushing to help.
It looks like maybe against Obama, but I am not convinced MSNBC is going to start being fair like Fox News.

Move over, George W. Bush. Yoy have been displaced as the primary target of Keith and Chris, this with a new and much more inviting target. Even Jon Steward of Comedy Central’s Daily Show is piling on, and if the now failing obama regime has lost Steward, the situation is the same as when LBJ lost Walter Cronkite on the Tet Offensive reporting.
No smoothe talk, just disjointed words making no sense at all.
Took twenty minutes or so to say nothing at all.
just wondering what authority do BP have to not allow ppl onto beaches. BP own the beaches?
My guess, its the government/unions that is manning the roadblocks near the beaches to stop media from reporting it. Hide the problem

The way Matthews and Olbermann especially (and Fineman to a lesser extent) ripped BO and his speech was utterly amazing. Granted, they didn't do it with the venom and bile reserved for Republicans, and one got the impression it was driven by disappointment that The One hadn't nationalized the universe, but it was extremely critical none the less.
No, I don't hold out any false hope of Mess becoming an actual news organization, but these are dire times for Obama none the less.
Side note: I simply can't wait for Chrissy Matthews’ “The rise of the new right” or some such nonsense tonight. It appears that he may have finally completely cut all tethers to reality.
Maybe they know that pretty soon GE control will be gone too.
Could the suckups be seeing the need to make some changes once the changeover is final?
