Public Policy Polling survey results released Tuesday show GOP U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kirk's taken a beating on his military record controversy, and now both Kirk and Democratic opponent Alexi Giannoulias carry the same 30 favorable/ 31 unfavorable rating by those polled. Those new findings show a six point drop in Kirk's numbers since questions were raised and Kirk apologized for misleading the public in describing his military honors and experience.
This poll, taken of 552 Illinoisans over the past two days, included questions about Kirk's military controversy, but did not mention Giannoulias' family banking scandal nor his Bright Star college fund investment mishandling. Those queried were asked their perception of Green Party U.S. Senate candidate LeAlan Jones, along with Kirk and Giannoulias.
As of the June 12-13 survey, Giannoulias leads by 1 point at 31, with Kirk at 30, Jones at 14 and undecided at 24. In other words, 38 percent of those asked rejected both Giannoulias and Kirk.

Hmmm.... seems those of us berated as "far right-wing purists" by the lamestream media because we find both Kirk and Alexi unacceptable are actually holding the same mindset as the majority of Illinois voters.
I won't vote for either one of the sleazy abortion-loving, gun-grabbing, illegal-alien hugging, cap n' trade socialists. The Illinois electorate feels the same way.
For the first second time in my adult life (the first being when Peter Fitzgerald beat Carol Mostly-Fraud), I am proud of Illinois voters.
The writing is on the wall. It's time for the discredited lying DIABLO scumbag Mark Kirk to withdraw from the Senate race. A wet paper bag could probably beat Alexi at this point, but no, we're stuck with Kirk.

Notice that there is no explanation given but I will give the writer minimal credit for pointing that fact out.

IL voters ought to vote for both of them and let the Senate sort out the new kind of corruption.

I think Kirk will win because he has the shorter name, the Al Greene factor in IL at work.
To: BillyBoy
There is an opening for a non-Combiner candidate to win the seat on IL.

If Illinois had a "None of the Above" option on the ballot like Nevada, I'm actually fairly certain that NOTA would win over both these lying combiner socialists. Even some Chicagoans are probably fed up with the process and feel enough is enough with these guys.
But we're stuck with current election laws, so I believe on June 21st the third party and indie filings will begin and we're having an idea who's the most viable non-Kirk candidate who can make it on the ballot. Of course the ideal scenario would be for Kirk to step down and a decent Republican like Peter Roskam or Chris Lauzen would take his place on the ballot. But Kirk isn't going to jump unless he's pushed.

I’m afraid that, should Kirk quit, his replacement will be determined by the “Good Old Boy RINO” network currently “leading” the Illinos GOP now.

Wow powerful pictures. I love this state, I hate the politicians, they all can rot for all I care. I give up.
If this is the choice we are given it just makes me want to vomit. I hate both of them
I think we should do what Caligula did and put a horse in the Senate.

New poll indicates majority of IL voters reject both Giannoulias and Kirk The only poll that matters will be taken on November 2nd, and I can guarantee you that the voters in this state will elect either Giannoulias or Kirk.
Of that there can be no doubt.

The IL U.S. Senate race will probably have seven candidates, so one of them could win with at least 15% of the vote.
