...There's one missing piece to Christine's campaign resurgence and that is the voice of the Delaware voters. What do the voters think of Christine? Preliminary polling results from the educational non-profit group Founders Values suggests that conservative T.E.A. party candidate Christine O'Donnell out polls Congressman Mike Castle among likely Republican voters in Delaware by more than 3 to 1. In a survey of likely Republican voters the results give O'Donnell the edge 65%-18% in the race for the Republican to square off against Democrat Chris Coons in the November general election...

This is a Delaware blogger who is posting information about a poll conducted by Founder's Values. I don't see the actual poll at the the site yet. Let's hope this is what it appears. Liberal Mike Castle (R?) DE cannot be permitted to be be a senator.

If we work really hard, we can make sure that we don’t capture ANY new Senate seats in 2010.

Mike Castle is about as conservative as you can get in DE and still get elected. He has a shot at winning, she will get destroyed in the general election.

I get it we should support liberals like we did in 2006 and 2008. Great plan. I thought we did better in 1980, 1984 and 1984 when we had conservatives running. Go away troll. You will be humiliated here for defending the major liberal like Castle here. When you say “we” so are referring to paid political operatives such as yourself.

Ronald Reagan won Connecticut. I am so sick of so-called conservatives suggesting that we need to elect progressive socialists who call themselves Republicans rather than attempt to persuade Americans that conservative principles are better than socialism. Especially when socialists are doing a good job of demonstrating to Americans why their program sucks.

If Sarah Palin did one thing at all, it is getting a large number of smart, conservative, hot chicks to run. I am surprised at how many races are being run these women. And they are running smart, lean, effective campaigns. Something the GOP hasn't done for years. The country may yet be saved.

You are missing the point. When in PA I used that logic for many years when pulling the level for Specter. Castle is every bit as liberal as Specter and look where that got us. Castle has been a career politician for forty years. He has voted for all the garbage that has moved this country towards socialism. He is exactly the sort of candidate that voters of all persuasions are rejecting this year. In contrast to the talking points from the arthritic wing of the Republican Party, Castle would be the weaker candidate in the fall.

IOW, no-one to the right of Ted Kennedy can get elected, so we might as well elect a Republican who isn’t to the right of Ted Kennedy? That way, when Congress continues to screw things up, the Republicans can keep getting the blame heaped on them!

(/Cheese-eating surrender-weasels.)

But at least Mike Castle would oppose Cap’n’Trade? No, he’s for that. He’d repeal Obamacare? No, he’s against repeal.

Well there goes that seat.

That's what the Libs are saying about Angle vs Reid‎ in Navada. Do you believe that, too?

That's ok. Things are heating up in DE. The energy is on the side of the conservative in this race!

Ronald Reagan won Connecticut.

That needs repeating. In fact RR won in NY, MA, DE, NJ etc. Republicans need to compare what happens when the party is viewed as conservative, as it was in 1980, 1984 and 1994 vs. what happens when it is viewed as simply less liberal then the Dems as in 2006 & 2008. Republicans in DE who are energized are going to the mat for Christine.

Ok, but if you can, send her a few bucks too. Christine2010

Believe me, this entrenched RINO will pull out all the stops when he wakes up to the fact that he is on the endangered species list and she will need help.

I've lived in and around north DE for 15 years, and it is a heavily democrat state. I don't like it any more than you do, but the bottom line is that in a place like DE it may be the best we can do. Castle would at least be a Republican who would vote conservatively more than half the time vs. a Dem senator who would vote liberal 100% of the time.

I would love to be proven wrong and see O'Donnell in the senate if she wins the primary.

More than half of the time? That’s the problem, then. You don’t know who the hell Mike Castle is, or at least what his record is. He voted with the Democrats EIGHTY percent of the time on bills rated by the American Conservative Union, over his entire career. Weed out the bills which passed or failed by huge margins, and he ALWAYS votes with the Democrats.

Not only that, but BROWN WON FRICKIN’ MASSACHUSETTS!!!

And Chris Christie won New Jersey, and that good ol’ “right-wing extremist” Brady is winning Illinois by a landslide.

Many Freepers held their nose and sent money to Scott Brown in Mass. (Not me, I couldn’t send money to a pro-abortion candidate).

How is Castle in Delaware different than Brown in Mass.?
