1. RE Y2K: I didn’t know any spiritual leaders I significantly respected at the time who asserted that Y2K was going to be a big disaster. I knew several who asserted it wasn’t going to be a big deal.
2. Some sources to this day assert that some problems—moderate?—were averted by a huge amount of work ahead of time.
3. “logical idiocy of the original post in this thread, . . .” WHERE’S the “logical idiocy?” He posed a question. He didn’t know what to make of it. Several things were plausible then. Several things are still plausible.
4. I don’t find your high and mighty attitude attractive in the least. And I’ve never found such arrogance to correlate well with maximum logic nor with maximum lack of idiocy.
5. It sounds like you have minimal to nonexistent awareness of the major issues, risks, hazards, Biblical import of the times we live in. Very underwhelming.
Thanks for the ping!
“2. Some sources to this day assert that some problemsmoderate?were averted by a huge amount of work ahead of time.”
For Y2K?
Absolutely.
Things would have been a disaster had nothing been done, but we had skilled people doing a lot of work to fix things ahead of time.
I worked for a dot com at the time.
Seeing how skilled the people were in the industry; I wasn’t very worried about Y2K.
Here, let me spell it out for you...
What scared Shadowstrike the most was that the “knew his name” when the agent picked up his call. What came 60 or so posts into the thread is his admission that he entered his SSN/Acct # during the origination of the call - WHICH, alerted the agent to who he was.
That’s the “logical lunacy” of this thread... Everyone is so ‘big brother’.
Biblical or Spritual Leader references have NOTHING to do with Wachovia mistakenly posting a test message on their Voice Response system and then having the gall to know, by name, who is calling them.
This thread is an example of the lunacy that makes FR look bad in the eyes of the general public.
1. That you remember... Selective memory /rhetorical
2. Problems that occurred where MINOR compared to what was crowed about on this very forum. Gas/Oil was not going to flow, Nuclear plants where going to go in meltdown.
3. I answered this above.
4. I don’t find your paranoia “attractive in the least”, but then again I’m not a paranoid person who believes that I can do anything to stop the world from ending. I am prepared to meet and be judged by God.
5. Yes, I am underwhelmed because of the audacity of your posts exclaiming paranoia.
