For some reason, my large ‘too big to fail” bank is putting a 7 day hold on checks I deposit that are drawn on my brokerage account. Seems they want to see the money before they release the funds to me. This is new and this is unusual as both institutions are large, national/international companies. I am concerned. Very concerned. And this post doesn't ease those concerns...

i worked for wachovia, until we merged with wells fargo recently, so now i work for them... chase purchased WaMu maybe that’s who you were thinking of.
