The President's handling of the Gulf Oil Crisis is 'by the book' liberalism

It's high time that all the President's friends in liberal places raise a toast to his excellent handling of the Gulf Oil Crisis. With amazing aplomb the President has turned an oil spill into just the type of political problem he relishes. He's used the tragedy to reduce off-shore drilling, castigate big business and push for a whole new set of rules and regulations to glom onto those that haven't worked and in the nick of time sent in the attorneys. Of course little cleaning has been done and the horrible mess grows worse.

All the while, the media has paid scant attention to the willful refusal of his administration to protect the American people and their environment. Rather than embracing all possible efforts to contain and clean the spill, his administration seems to enjoy the sight of oily birds. New information from the Houston Chronicle would seem to buttress the argument that something scandalous is afoot.

"Three days after the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico, the Dutch government offered to help.

It was willing to provide ships outfitted with oil-skimming booms, and it proposed a plan for building sand barriers to protect sensitive marshlands.

The response from the Obama administration and BP, which are coordinating the cleanup: “The embassy got a nice letter from the administration that said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,'” said Geert Visser, consul general for the Netherlands in Houston..."

“The embassy got a nice letter from the administration that said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’”

Every time I see that remark I think of the suspicious dictators that refuse international aid in the midst of natural disasters.

Yeah, it’s weird and unbelievable, innit? I mean: I as a Dutchman had to read this terrible news here, some two days ago. We probably have a couple of the best-equipped and trained expert groups and firms for doing emergency work at sea and in the deep. To wit: the ‘Smit-Tak’ co. dredged up a Russian nuclear submarine, the ‘Kursk’, a decade or so ago.

Dangerous as the job was, it got done fantastically, without any damage to the environment. I dare place a safe bet that there are few countries around the world that could have provided a similarly operating crew.

Perhaps Obie just did not want a foreign troupe to get all the kudos and all the publicity. It is ‘his own’ disaster and must stay that way.

Which ensures me that there is a hidden and very nasty agenda. He needs a Big Disaster. To demonstrate that new laws and rules are unavoidable. HIS laws and rules.

Exactly! Kim Jong-Il would do exactly the same!

We need to take back the dictionary. What we have called liberals having nothing to do with liberty and freedom. They are leftist, wackos, anarchist and communists.

Suggestion:

we scrap ‘liberals’ altogether. Instead comes:

‘totoes’ (from: totalitarians)

‘sikees’ (from: psychiatric patients)

‘threes’ (either their IQ, or their number of remaining brain cells, or both)

‘narkies’ (from: narcissists, or also: narcotics lovers)

‘coelacanths’ (something past its sell-by date)

If we want this country to survive the Obama administration, we are gonna have to take to the streets with millions of angry Americans & demand the resignation of Obama, Biden, Pelosi, & Reid.

I would also suggest we picket all the golf clubs in the WDC area, as that is where Obama spends much of his time.

The truth is that “O” succeeded to the WH by means of a media coup.

Anything like a popular revolt against this President will expend SO much time and resources defending itself against the MSM, that it would just be better (and more expedient) to challenge the MSM directly.

THAT is your revolt against the “O” Presidency. Other approaches play RIGHT into their hands and hands the MSM all the cards to represent (misrepresent, rather) your ‘opposition’ in any way they like.

It’s a foregone conclusion that the dummied-down, Liberal voter base will not and in fact, is by now incapable of questioning ANYTHING presented to them in the MSM.

The Conservative challenge to the MSM must be a rock-solid, direct and substantively exact body-blow.

This isn’t asking too much. The empirically actual and patently demonstrable facts of MSM compliance with the Liberal agenda are extensive and longstanding!!!

Why NO Conservative or Conservative organization has yet presented a concise and incontestable film/literary, etc. monolith properly articulating endemic MSM malfeasance is beyond me. I am waiting!!!

Somehow, an ill-educated and laughably maladroit loser like Michael Moore can produce and present what amounts to a political broadside (albeit scurrilous and unfounded) against Conservatism in the US, yet Conservatives cannot achieve this same kind or level of challenge to Liberals…even WITH all the factual data so readily available.
