That is not true. But without the RTKBA, they wouldn't have much else to do.

From a political perspective, RTKBA is their bread and butter. True, they work on hunter and firearm safety, etc.

The NRA has seen the last of my donations and membership if that endorsement comes to pass.

Reid has no deep convictions, if he thinks he can get away with it he will go along with anything the gun grabbers want.

I stopped supporting the NRA when they backed that RINO Scozzifava (sp?) in the NY race.

Exactly correct. It is Reid’s support of the Clark Co. shooting sports facility. Reid wanted the NRA in his pocket in NV, and that’s how he did it.

In other words, the NRA's support was purchased with tax dollars.

I told ‘em to go to heck when I found out that the muslim terrorist front group, CAIR, had an agenda setter, lobbyist and overall heavy hitter named grover norquist, who ALSO sat on the NRA’s board for YEARS. they KNEW full well of his anti American dealings and still kept him on. unbelievable huh? the Second Amendment Foundation receives my monetary support now.

If Freepers were strategists, we would never get elected.

The NRA throws its support to a critical Democrat who supports their agenda (RKBA). Their agenda isn’t to elect conservatives.

And can anyone tell me what firearms restrictions have been passed during the last 2 years of TOTAL Democrat rule?

Oh wait - a REPEAL of the ban on CCW in national parks!

I guess the NRA ain’t all that bad.

----agree wholeheartedly-

-while I maintain Nevada residency to be able to vote against Harry, some of the folks who post here need to know that the NRA has to live in the real world where there is a Congress, not in the fantasy lands where us sturdy yoemanry will fend off UN armored columns ,manned by rapacious Bulgaro-Senegambians at the west bank of the Misissippi, or where ever--

your welcome. look into grover norquist. when I questioned the NRA having this rat bastard on their board their response directly to me via a phone conversation was....”the NRA does not care what it’s board members do on their own time”.....!!!!! I kid you not. author debbie schussel(?) has had a few articles on this, on from 2 years ago....’muslims have a mole in the NRA’ or something like that was just unreal to read. check it out if ya have the time.

There is no excuse for them to support Harry Reid against Sharron Angle. She is better on guns and certainly better on every other issue.

I'm not sure that they do. They haven't endorsed for the general election yet, have they?

As for generic support, they should support Harry Reid. For as detestable as he is on most issues, on the NRA's SINGLE issue, he has singlehandedly acted as a barrier to any gun control that the Democrats can bring to the table, being the majority leader. But I don't see where the NRA says "vote for Reid, NOT Angle."

Yech. I feel disgusted for defending Reid. But if you're a single issue organization, which the NRA is, sometimes you have to.

You’re right, but that’s why I get frustrated with single-issue organizations. They fail to grasp the big picture.

“Who is “they?” Who makes those decisions?”

That would be NRA Executive Vice-President Wayne LaPierre/ Le Pew.
