It certainly needs fixing, and is far from perfect. So Huck old buddy, what in the heck do you think the reason was that they included Article V in that "imperfect" document? Hmmmm.

It is kind of interesting that in the majority on this one thread there are a bunch of us 10 year site veterans all nit-picking each other, LOL.
Jacquerie is probably wondering which one of us is the site renegade when we all probably qualify at one time or another.
And to top it off it is on a thread involving Rush Limbaugh. For the newer members, I should comment that before about 2002 there were virtually no threads about Rush. It wasn’t that he was not liked — I think it was we were busy Impeaching and we were way beyond Rush’s level of anger — now what brings us all together — Rush thread sidebar commentary.
I hope each one of you are well and it is damn good to see you.

Yes, the arch anti-federalist himself, Henry-the-gadfly supported the addition of a Bill of Rights and specifically what became the Tenth Amendment.

Good arguments can be made for and against the BoR. Wish I had time to chat about it now.

Yes, I understand exactly what you’re saying. We’re not alone by any means. Our enemies completely fail to understand this.

To: Noumenon; Huck
Noumenon,
Young Huck was making a comment at post #3 that many would agree with if they understood that Huck was refering to the usage of the word, “perfect” — as in perfect originally and perfect for all time.
He has tried to point out the distinction that he was making by citing the obvious counter-points but is probably trying to leave the office and get home.
Now you want to drag him into the “planned-history” knot to see if he can untie that.
With a twinkle in my eye I urge him to resist.
I am off to the lake, myself.

To make it almost impossible to change. The Constitution is easier to amend than the Articles of Anarchy were, for in the Articles, any change had to be confirmed by the legislatures of all states.
