Illegal immigrant bill critic Arizona Attorney General Goddard should bow out

The time has come for Arizona Attorney General Goddard to let a lawyer who defends SB 1070 to take over the defense of the anti-illegal immigration law. Goddard does not have the trust of the majority of Arizona voters who support the bill.

The people in Arizona have good reason not to feel that Goddard's heart is in the defense of SB1070 because of his past actions,

My understanding is that Brewer has already hired independent counsel to defend the bill and that the language to accomplish this was itself included in the bill.

This Arizonan thinks the AG has an agenda and has already tried to usurp the authority of the Governor. IMO, he doesn’t intend to defend anything except his political positioning.
