He must have figured it was a crisis that would get cap n tax passed. He probably also figured he could talk his way out of the bad PR and the lost jobs would just mean more voters dependant on handouts - nevermind the dead wildlife, just a means to an end.

What incentives did he really have to make an honest effort to protect the coastline - that is, from his point of view?

The world marvels at Obama’s lack of action and interest in the spill while stands to gain quite a lot politically by a large spill.

The official government response was supposed to be to burn off the oil.

Obama chose to stop that, and use dispersents instead. Now the oil can't be burned off.

Many other countries volunteered to assist in the fight to stop the leak and clean up the oil.

Obama refused all help, including Saudi Arabia's supertanker that is able to siphon/skim oil off the water surface.

All those tar balls are Obama’s legacy.!

All the dead wildlife and fish are Obama’s legacy!

The "take-charge" Feds thought that they had an obligation (to the American people) to regulate drilling in the Gulf.

The "take-charge" Feds shouldered that responsibility.

We can infer that the same "take-charge" Feds also have an obligation to make sure the American people don't suffer needlessly from disastrous results of that drilling.

Yes, BP should pay for the clean up, but the Federal Government should have moved quickly to make sure the damage was minimized as much as possible.

Has Obama declared a state of emergency in Louisiana yet?

NALCO is associated with UChicago Argonne program. UChicago Argonne received $164 million dollars in stimulus funds this past year. UChicago Argonne just added two new executives to their roster. One from NALCO. The other from the Ill. Dept of Education.

If you dig a little deeper you will find NALCO is also associated with Warren Buffett, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, Soros, Apollo, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Hathaway Berkshire.

Goldman-Sachs, Blackstone, and Apollo are all involved in NALCO.

Arab-Americans’ investments in companies that were aligned closely with key Chicago and Illinois politicians (including former Governor Rod Blagojevich).

Arab-American businessman, Ali Atta, had ties to Nalco.

Yeah, he knew. And he let it happen so he can push an environment bill through and shut down all off shore drilling.

Honestly, I’m surprised it took this long for this conversation to come up.

One thing that also really offends me is that crouch Obama is doing. It’s that third world kind of customary squat.

One usually doesn’t see an American President squatting.

It just another subtle example of how unlike the average American this President is.

You know, the picture of Nixon on the beach at San Clemente in suit pants wading in the Pacific Ocean made him look like a fool and added fuel to the fire for the people demanding his resignation. I should say — a sinister fool.

Obama looks just as foolish and contriving here.
