As the Gulf oil disaster closes in on the 50-day mark, the Obama Administration and BP refuse to use the most effective method of oil cleanup. The top oil barons of the world--the Saudis--have used this method to avoid a mammoth oil disaster.
And the result was swift, effective, and conclusive.
In 1993 and '94 the Saudis faced an oil spill of historic proportions in the Arabian Gulf as four leaking tankers and two oil gushers threatened to spur a catastrophic event that was 65 times worse than the Exxon-Valdez spill.
An American engineer, Nick Pozzi, was part of a task force charged with developing a solution to the looming disaster.

CRISIS+ politcial + = enforcing new laws
its all about $ that is why they did not cap the well and stop the flow, but instead tried to put an extension piece over the well to keep bringing the oil to the surface where they can load it onto tankers and sell it.
Soetoro and the Left didn’t directly cause the oil spill but their interest is very much in making as bad a disaster as they can.
The objective is to NOT clean up to show America how rotten oil is. Just like the objective is to NOT fix the economy to show America how rotten capitalism and free markets are.
Why do some keep ignoring the fact that skimmers HAVE BEEN USED on this spill since the very first days?
They are not ignoring this technology; they have been using all along.
But the Gulf of Mexico allows the oil to spread out over a far greater area than the Persian Gulf.
That’s like saying that Bush’s response during Katrina is what it was because he “hates black people.”
The truth is George Bush was incompetent and over his head and Katrina showed and Barack Obama is incompetent and over his head and the oil spill is showing it. Though in his case politics probably plays a role given all the money BP has given him.
$$$$$$$$....not that we don’t have it, because they want to make it.
This will probably provide the rationale for ending America's nuclear power efforts and existing plants, also. After all, if mere oil can be so disastrous, a nuclear accident would be far worse.
And why excerpt?
Exactly, what is ignorant is this reporter. Completely different environment. The Gulf of Mexico has currents that scatter the oil. Also, this is a much different mixture of crude/nat gas, than Saudi oil that pools together.
This deliberate and egregious bit of mismanagement is what is going to hang BP and the Kenyan, ultimately.
I hope the “swing” state of Florida remembers this before the next election.
They may not vote for a man named hussein next time.
because it appears that skimmers are different than huge oil tankers that can suck up the oil/water mixture in very large quantities then take it to shore to be processed.
You're showing too. Name one thing he should have done about Katrina but didn't do.
This method must be known as the Pozzi Scheme....
Who pushed drilling far out to sea where a disaster would be more beneficial to some people? Can you say ‘Cap and Trade’, Never let a good crisis go to waste... read from people who have done their research and make up your own mind.

First you notice that common sense tells you you do not have to plug the ho before you can contain and cleanup. Thinking is all it takes to conclude that.
then you have to want to stop the oil spill from spreading ...
explosion -> oil spill -> let her leak -> crisis -> cap and trade —— following the bouncing ball.
Why did we turn down the help of 17 offering countries, including booms, tankers, skimmers and other equipment — if we really wanted it cleaned up. Including the Saudis and their oil skimming super tankers ....
Have you noticed all the Gulf states have Republican governors? Obama apparently has.
Id love to know what you would have done that W didnt do.
Yes, he has it in for Texas for sure.
Now doesn’t that make for a good president. /s %$#*
