But, despite those criticisms, I think this person has put together some pretty damning information to show that we are on a perilous course. I know, that is no surprise to anybody here, but it's useful to have those stats all in one spot. IMHO.
WOW!!
I’ve seen many of those, but those are some pretty stunning statistics.
It’s heartbraking what the LEFT is doing to my country.
Obama is pushing us over the cliff to a impoverished, third world, thug country where laws have no meaning.
The bottom 40% also pay no taxes (other than sales taxes) at all.
I honestly believe that God is attempting to “get our attention” by allowing us to reap what we have sown. This is happening, I believe, for our best ultimate good.
This is a very eye-opening list. Thanks...
“Our greed and our debt are literally eating our economy alive”
“Our”?
GOP and democrat alike, but watching the antics of Soetero, Pelosi, Steeny Hoyer, Reid and others- their ridiculous statements and actions going UNCHALLENGED in the press (even FOX) - is particularly galling
And sorry, but people FORCED by these drunken sailor govt spenders for the past 40-50 years or more to participate in Social Security and MEDICARE as a floor for retirement at age 66 or above- - do not accept the labels of “greedy” and “hypocritical” being flung like poo by sorry democrats. Suckers maybe. Screwed certainly. But greedy hypocrites, naw hell no.

Misquoted and misleading. The link actually says 40% are employed in service jobs that are "often" low-wage. Many service jobs pay very well indeed.
Physicians and attorneys are service jobs. Consultants often earn well. Most government workers are in "service jobs." As we have seen recently, many of them earn upwards of $100k.
I live in Pinellas county, and it's pretty unstable. A LOT of people bought homes WAY over what they could afford, and there are a lot of foreclosures of families affected by unemployment.
However, there's also a big problem with homeowner's associations in this area where they're filing to foreclose on homes that aren't paying their association dues but are up-to-date on their mortgages. I have neighbors who are barely scraping by, but they don't pay their association dues. One older woman was evicted from her home because she didn't fix gutters that were leaking and the association fixed them and billed her. She never paid them the $500 they wanted, because she's on a fixed income. She figured she'd die there, but she was thrown out to the street instead.
U.S. consumer combined debt (residential mortgage + other consumer related credit outstanding) is approximately 14 TRILLION dollars!!
That total was a little less than $1 Trillion in 1975.
1 Trillion (just ONE) is $1 per SECOND for 32,000 YEARS... and that’s without interest.
14 Trillion at $1 per second is 448,000 years.
The market’s not impressed either...
