U.S. Senator John McCains re-election campaign today announced that the National Rifle Associations Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Senator McCain for re-election to the United States Senate.
John McCain has steadfastly voted against every gun and ammunition ban in Congress, said Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA-PVF, in a statement released Thursday. "This along with his commitment to preserving our hunting heritage has earned him the NRA-PVFs endorsement. We ask all Arizona gun-owners, hunters and NRA members to vote for John McCain in the U.S. Senate Republican primary on August 24th.
The National Rifle Association has boldly protected Americans Constitutionally guaranteed Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for more than 125 years, and I am humbled and honored by their endorsement, said McCain. For more than two decades, I've fought efforts to ban guns and ammunition, and stood in defense of our Second Amendment -- I look forward to continuing to work closely with the NRA in the battles ahead.

★ FREEDOM! ★
Someone get a hold of the NRA, and let them know that compromising with leftist and RINOs is not a winning scheme this election cycle. Find the conservatives, and stay with them.
One here immediately revoking membership. Time for a new gun lobby organization.
NRA = Now RINO A$$hats
NRA-National RINO Association
I haven't sent the NRA any money in a good while, and I re-joined GOA last night, and will likely join another group with both BALLS and CONSERVATIVE, COMMON-SENSE CONSISTENCY (like JPFO, etc.).
Me neither.
After reading about that Harry Reid photo op, this endorsement of McCain really pisses me off.
Care to weigh in? This is why some folks have an issue with the NRA. They seem to shoot themselves, and us, in the foot just to prove they can.
I will be sending a letter with my payment coupon instead of a check, explaining why they will never see another dime from me and they can take my membership card and shove it up their arse.
NRA traitors ping!
Time to hit the phones and tell the NRA they have their heads up their arses on this one.
Part of the NRA's problem is that they hold too strictly a to a one-issue focus: firearms. And on that, Ried has actually been great. Hard to beleive but Reid just assisted the NRA in getting millions of dollars of funds to open a brand-new state of the art shooting range outside of Las Vegas.
Politics appears to often lead to such cases of seeming schizophrenia.
Here is another excellent organization:
Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership
The NRA lost my support and membership 18 years ago when they endorsed an Alabama Congressman who voted FOR the Brady Bill.
I love JPFO—and encourage every one to join. Aaron Zelman is a man who’s not afraid to say what he thinks and to be “controversial”. He’s just now working on a film called “No Guns For Negroes” which I can’t wait to see. If you read any of his writings, you will know that he is a man that goes for the throat of anyone who has dared to take away our rights.
Larry Pratt and the GOA is another good organization that I belong to and support. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Mr. Pratt, and find him to be very impressive, too.
And of course, don’t forget Second Amendment Sisters, born right here on FR.
If any of these organizations had half the money and membership the NRA does, I think we would be seeing a different scenario today.
Ping!
First that scumbag Reid, now McCain? The NRA WON’T be endorsing any more checks from me.
If they weren't going to back Hayworth (which would have been the best course), they could have simply declined to shoot themselves in the foot by witholding any endorsements until the general.

NRA also reads the polls and like to endorse likely winners.
