He has every right to say what he wants, but why did Paul McCartney feel the need to announce -- at a ceremony where he received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Song -- he was happy Bush was out of the White House? You, Sir Paul, demonstrated he can have zero class at times.

Maybe McCartney can talk about how he used the library while he was studying for his Harvard MBA. What, he didn't get one? President Bush did, which I can tell you (since I have an MBA from a lesser school) takes a lot of time in the library.

Not only that, but I heard today that President Bush read something like 95 books in the last year (plus the Bible cover-to-cover) - but he probably bought the books himself, so he didn't get to the library.

Shut up and sing

Good point...

I really don’t mind if Paul McCartney doesn’t like George W. Bush. I voted for him, but I was disappointed with his presidency. However, just because liberals don’t like someone, they have no right to falsely call them illiterate, liars, draft dodgers, murderers, to call their children sluts, etc. George and Laura Bush have endured these insults, jokes and threats about his potential assassination, and much more. They have handled all of it politely and with a graciousness which every American should be proud of, whatever their politics. As for McCartney, he is a very poor and rude guest.
