In a statement U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff (D-CO) was offered the possibility of three jobs by Jim Messina, the President’s deputy chief of staff.

The candidate says: In September 2009, shortly after the news media first reported my plans to run for the Senate, I received a call from Jim Messina, the President’s deputy chief of staff. Mr. Messina informed me that the White House would support Sen. Bennet. I informed Mr. Messina that I had made my decision to run.

Here is the email Messina sent to to Romanoff, describing three positions.

[The evil is eating her from within]

Something is eating her up, she used to keep herself, at least, looking nice. Now she looks unkempt.

I’m telling you, it’s the evil, bubbling out.

She’ll disappear for a month or two (and get some cosmetic work done) after she resigns as SOS and announces her candidicy for the Rat nomination in 2012.

Check out her pics, it won’t be the first time she’s gone under the knife...she needs a ‘freshening’.

It is almost as if Sestak and Romanoff ran to the TV cameras to tell them everything. I thought the moderate wing of the Dem party in the 2008 election would vote McCain to avoid this. They decided to go off the cliff.

If my state is any indicator, things do not look good. We lost 3 good conservative state senators last night. All folks care about here is legalized gambling.

Sessions and Shelby will still be in DC though.

They can’t murder Blago because he did lots of TV (on purpose, so he’d be too high profile to kill).

I did not see that until you pointed it out. I simply thought Blago was/is nut. WOW. Never saw that. Your right!

==Unfortunately, I think the worst that will happen is that he would be impeached, but not removed, just like Bubba. Congress doesn’t have the guts to do the right thing, as the cities would burn.==

Let's hope the political climate is different given the mood of voters:

Sellout: The Inside Story of President Clinton's Impeachment by David P. Schippers

From Amazon.com review:

“….David Schippers, the chief investigative counsel for the Clinton impeachment, wants to be sure Americans know just who contributed to the debacle and how. A trial attorney and a Democrat, Schippers was hired by Republican congressman Henry Hyde to lead an oversight investigation of the Justice Department, then was redirected to handle the impeachment…Schippers was shocked by Republican and Democratic politicians who sold out the impeachment process.

If you ever want to vote again, you might not want to know what went on behind the scenes in the Capitol Hill meat grinder leading up to and during the impeachment proceedings against William Jefferson Clinton.... Lies, cowardice, hypocrisy, cynicism, amorality, butt-covering--these were the squalid political body parts that, squeezed through the political processor, combined to make a mockery of the impeachment process.

Of course, Schippers does want you to know what happened, and he also wants you to vote— against those who made the mess. And so he names names--of Republican senators who refused to allow evidence on the floor, of the five Democratic congressmen who never examined the evidence, of the GOP senator who said, "You're not going to dump this garbage on us," and also of the politicians who did an honest job, or at least asked reasonable questions (such as Joseph Lieberman). Schippers also reveals the evidence he was building against the Clinton administration regarding illegal INS actions and Chinagate, but that he was forced to drop. He reviews the successful struggle to get a full hearing in the House and the "flat-out rigged ball game" in the Senate.

There is a world of difference between trying to get the General Public to comprehend the violations which occurred from the Lewinsky matter, why the GOP was gutless re: Clinton, and demonstrable felonies committed. Impeachment and removal are the political remedy in order to allow for criminal proceedings, they must occur first.
