June 8th is the Republican primary for the 1st Congressional district in Virginia. If you are in this district, vote for Rob Wittman!
Wittman became the 1st district Va. Representative after winning a special election in 2007 to succeed the late Jo Ann Davis [R].
Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis did an excellent job representing the 1st district.
A true conservative in every since, tremendous supporter of our troops, and though she is certainly missed, Rob Wittman has done an excellent job.
Unlike some Congressmen, Rob Wittman listened to his constituents and voted against both the Bush and Obama mamouth "bailouts".
Absolutely solid on the need to secure the border.
Vehemently opposed to "amnesty" for illegal aliens.
A solid conservative, which is why the Va. Gazette is baffled as to why some Tea Partiers are supporting Cathy Graybill instead:
"On the face of it, you wouldnt think the Tea Party faction of the Republican Party would have much problem with Rep. Rob Wittman (R-1st).
"In his three years in Congress, Wittman has been a dependable conservative vote in the spirit of the late Rep. Jo Ann Davis, whom he replaced."
"He voted against TARP legislation, the bank bailout that still angers the Tea Party. He voted against President Obamas stimulus plan, which the Tea Party believes was a waste of money."
"And he voted against healthcare reform, the issue that ignited the Tea Party with rallies across the country and a march on Washington."

I am in the First District and Rob is a great asset to the District and to our nation. Go Rob!
Rob is the exact person to represent VA’s first. I supported Crabill for delegate but she has gone too far in challenging Rob for the First’s seat.
